Hi my name is Elijah and im asking for help for fighting cancer. What that means is i have been denied Medicare and snap benefits and will not have a decision on social security disability untill November at the earliest. I have been out of work since early December and am now making about 1700 a month on unemployment. The problem is insurance, my COBRA pay is 822.00 a month but i do have wonderful insurance I am maxed out for the year at 2500.00 owed on my end . I absolutely cannot afford to pay that for the probably 10 months of recovery my surgery and chemotherapy is going to require. The state insurance plan cost about 600 a month and tops out at 8500.00 for maximum payout. Thats roughly 14,000 so my Cobra is simply the best way to go but unfortunately i can't keep it without help that i am despeatly asking for. With the 822 plus 500 for rent and pre cancer bills my 1700 a month isn't even close to enough to think about making this happen. I self paid for may and will be able to get june paid for but the reality is thats gonna be the end of me being able to do this . I'd like to not be in financial ruins afyer this but thats a definite possibility and thats ok . I just wanna live and know that i will be getting all of my treatments without worry of a stoppage because of insurance.
