I am raising money for Ericka, my best friend of 20+ years, and her family. Ericka was taken to the ER by ambulance on Thursday night for stroke-like symptoms following a migraine. It was found that she experienced a rare type of migraine called Hemiplegic Migraine which caused the whole left side of her body to lose feeling, strength and movement. She is still undergoing testing to determine the root cause of the issue.

In most cases, people regain function when the migraine subsides but she still has no use of her left leg, no strength in her arm, and has experienced multiple migraines since.

Ericka will hopefully be going home from the hospital tomorrow but needs assistance as she is unable to pick up anything or move around. Luckily they are blessed to have local friends and family that are able to help her at home while Ryan works.

But as some of you may know, they have a 6 month old baby, a 3 year old and an 8 year old that she homeschools. Ericka also runs a nature program for kids and has to close her school until she is well-which causes a major financial hardship.
