Eris - Angels In Armor Animal Rescue Fund
Eris is a female pothound that was found on the streets of St. George's, Grenada. She was caught and brought into the small animal clinic where doctors where able to diagnose: Enlarged lymph nodes, masses throughout her skin and around mammary glands, severe lichenification, lameness and edema on the right hind limb, infestation of fleas, potential fractures in legs and pelvis, potential diaphragmatic hernia, and she is positive for heartworm and Ehrlichia.
Eris needs a lot of medical attention! She is currently being hospitalized and is receive IV fluids, pain medications, and flea and tick medication. When she is in better condition radiographs will be taken to confirm or deny fractures or a possible hernia. Eris already had bloodwork taken for her baseline values. If there are confirmed fractures or hernia she will need to undergo surgery along with intensive postoperative care. Eris will also be on medications and medicated shampoos for months until her skin starts to improve. Along the way there will be many recheck visits at the clinic to check her progress.
This poor girl is in horrible condition, but we need to give her the chance at a better life. Please help us give her that chance!

The mission of Angels in Armor Animal Rescue Fund (AAARF!) is to provide medical care to un-owned companion animal emergency cases.
It is intended to encourage Good Samaritan behavior in our community as well provide an outlet to save the lives of animals that would otherwise be euthanized.
Angels in Armor Animal Rescue Fund is a student run organization made available by the veterinary students of Saint George's University in Grenada, West Indies.
