Hi, my name is is Anastazia I am 28 years old and when I turned the age of 13 I found out I had a brain tumor that would affect me chronically for the rest of my life causing me to attend NMSBVI losing my vision in the right eye and also losing my hearing on the right side. As of 2016 my main tumor started growing again. Unfortunately in September 2024 a second mass was also found and started growing and wrapping around my left optical nerve, circle of willlis and an artery. Now I am put out of remission. I had another brain surgery as of july 2024 with multiple complications, which prolonged my healing process. The treatments (Radiation and Chemo) that is needed is not offered in NM, so Finally I was able to move forward with my second round of 15 Radiation treatments after getting a second opinion MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. To follow starting the 1st of July , I will be having chemo treatments for 6 months every other week. To the fact of there being residual tumor again because it is not fully operable. We are asking for this set goal to help with travel expenses, insurance payments, and medical bills during this time while I am out of work. I am traveling back and forth to Houston for Treatment and follow ups with my doctors, longer than 6 months for ongoing treatments after chemotherapy.
