As we come together this weekend to celebrate Mum’s 60th birthday, it feels like a truly special moment, but also a bittersweet one.
This summer, we sadly lost Mum’s best friend, Pat, after her brave battle with cancer. Pat wasn’t just a friend, she was like family. The two of them shared so many years of laughter, adventures, and love, and it’s hard to imagine this milestone without her by Mum’s side.
Rather than receiving gifts or drinks tonight, Mum’s only wish for her 60th is to do something meaningful in Pat’s memory. So, we’ve set up this page to raise money for Cancer Research UK, to honour Pat’s life and to help fund the vital research that gives others hope for the future.
If you were lucky enough to know Pat, you’ll know what a kind, funny, and generous person she was, and how deeply she’s missed by everyone here. Any donation, no matter how small, will mean so much to Mum and to all of us who loved her.
Thank you for helping us make this celebration not just about turning 60, but about remembering a friendship that meant the world.
In loving memory of Pat
