Donations in memory of John Warby

Hi everyone, this is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write so please bare with me whilst I try and articulate my words. My name is Amy-Leigh and I’m doing this go fund me to try and raise funds to go towards the costs of our Dads funeral.

He suddenly and very quickly became poorly at the beginning of June, we knew he suffered from asthma so just assumed it was a bad asthma attack and that he would be up and out of the hospital within days. Little did we know he had an underlying lung condition which worsened over time. He also developed pneumonia and other infections which did not help the condition of his lungs. He was in a coma for 3 weeks fighting the hardest fight he’d ever fought. To no avail, his lungs gave up and he could no longer breath without being on life support. He went peacefully surrounded by his children and the love of his life, my mum. None of us expected this to happen and none of us were ready to lose him. At just 55 you don’t ever expect to be saying goodbye to your dad or partner, but that’s the position we are in.

Our dad was the best man we knew with the best sense of humour, witty, sarcastic and downright dark. We wouldn’t have had him any other way. The world is a whole lot dimmer without him in it.

The funds we raise will go towards to costs of his funeral and flowers and as you all know these things don’t come cheap so any help will be greatly appreciated, we just want him to have the best send off possible as he truly did not deserve this. This whole situation isn’t fair and none of us are ready to say goodbye.
