Donations in memory of our beloved Harry Solomons

Earlier this weeks my family received the devastating news that my younger brother, Harry had sadly passed away during the night of Sunday 18th May 2025.
Harry was 28 years old.
For those who had the joy of knowing Harry, he’ll always be remembered as the cheeky, warm-hearted soul with a ‘happy-go-lucky’ spirit who could light up any room. His laughter was infectious, his smile unforgettable, and no matter how tough things got, he never stopped trying to lift the people around him.
Since Harry’s life-changing accident in 2018 that left him paralysed from the waist down, Harry faced a world that had suddenly shifted beneath him. Behind his smile and infectious laugh, Harry battled daily with his mental health and the often overwhelming struggles of life. Though he tried with all his heart, Harry never truly found peace with what had been taken from him.
Losing Harry has absolutely shattered our world in ways we simply cannot begin to put into words. In the midst of our grief, we’re now faced with the painful reality of planning his funeral—something no parent should ever have to do for their child. Every decision we’ve had to make to ensure Harry has the most fitting send off that he deserves has been weighed down not only by heartbreak, but by the heavy stress of financial worry. As a family, we want nothing more than to give Harry the beautiful and meaningful farewell he deserves, but the cost of doing so has simply been overwhelming. At a time when we should be focused solely on remembering and mourning our son & brother, we’re struggling under the pressure of making ends meet just to say goodbye.
We’ve opened this GoFundMe—to ask for help in giving Harry the goodbye he deserves. We never imagined we’d be in a position where we’d need to reach out like this, but the truth is, we just can’t do this alone. Any contribution, no matter the value, will go directly toward covering the costs of Harry’s funeral and helping to ease some of the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation or share of this post is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read, Sam, Tara, Paul & Madi.
