In Memory of Don Dybowski

Donation protected
Don Dybowski passed away on the morning of January 13th.

Don was born in Chicago on September 25th, 1953. He grew up in Chicago until the 60’s when his family relocated to Glendale Heights. Don attended Glenbard North High School and then took a job as an electrical apprentice for a local contractor, where he found his life passion for electrical work.

After a short time as an apprentice, he found a new opportunity in Geneva, Il, where he met his best friend, Gordy Ehorn. The duo entered into their own business in 1979 and founded Unity Electric, Inc. in St. Charles, Il. Without even knowing that it would happen, the business became the love of Don’s life. He was committed to making it successful and spent countless hours doing so.

Don was a lover of the ocean, good music, animals, and all people (with a few exceptions). He will be remembered for his undying devotion to those he loved, his incredible selflessness and generosity, his love of all things unique, and his warped sense of humor.

We will keep him in our hearts forever.

We feel the best way to honor his memory is to make a donation to the Brookfield Zoological Society and establish a plaque in his name.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Please send your information to Gordy at [email redacted] for details.
