Donation to Operation 300 in Memory of Josh Sines

Donation protected
This fund is set up to donate to our dear, beloved friend and brother Josh "TACO" Sines's favorite and beloved charity Operation 300.  Operation 300 is a charity that was extremely close to Josh's heart and his family.  Operation 300 was started in memory of Josh's cousin Aaron Vaughn who served as a Navy SEAL and was killed in the line of duty during a mission called Extortion 17 .

The mission statement of Operation 300 states: "Providing mentorship to children of the fallen, honoring the sacrifice of those who've given their all for our freedom, and promoting patriotism and service in our communities since 2012".  The website for Operation 300 can be found here and you can also click on this link to view a video about what Operation 300 is about and what it does for children and family members of fallen military members https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mMy6_g0bKE&t=612s

Josh meant a lot to many people and loved everyone he ever came into contact with.  As we all know, Josh was a man of many hats and talents during his life.  Josh was a partner in owning and operating the famous Bob's Hamburg restaurant as well as a long time employee, bartender, manager and whatever else was needed at the Hamad family's Rockne's on Merriman Road.  He truly was a do it all guy!

Josh was also a politician who loved his politics and ran for Mayor in the last election for the Mayor of the City of Akron.  Josh also worked both for the City of Akron as a bailiff as well as for the Summit County Board of Elections.   Josh was a big fan of the sport of wrestling and also served as the ring announcer for the OCW Wrestling circuit.

One of Josh's greatest loves of his life was being a member of the Lonestar Fraternity at the University of Akron.  While a member of the fraternity Josh served many roles including treasurer and president of the fraternity.  He also served on the council of IFC at the University.  Josh graduated with a degree in Political Science.  Josh was also an active member of the Lonestar Alumni Association and planned and participated in numerous events for the fraternity.
He was an amazing brother and friend in XD who was always there for you whenever you needed a hand or help with anything in your life.

Josh will be forever missed but the fun times, memories, and time spent with Josh will live on forever in our hearts.  Please consider donating to Operation 300 in memory of Josh.  All of the money raised through this website will be donated to Operation 300 in Josh's name.  It is what he would've wanted the money raised here to go towards and often mentioned that to close friends and family.

Services for Josh will be held on Sunday March 14th from 2-5 pm at Hummel Funeral Home on Exchange Street.  Josh's obituary will be published within the next few days.  Thank you to all and may God Bless Josh and his loved ones and may he Rest in Peace!
