Meet the LOVE OF MY and my family's LIFE, Gladden (verb: Make Glad), a four y/o Cocker/Pug mix rescue. He was active, loveable and full of life, who brightened our day!

This past weekend while up at a friend's cottage, Gladden lost all feeling in his lower extremities and was rushed first to a 24/7 emergency vet in Barrie (2 hours away) for diagnosis, then rushed to Toronto Animal Health Partners (1 hour away) for EMERGENCY SURGERY as he was diagnosed with Grade 5 IVDD (Interverbal Discs Disease). The prognosis to recover and be able to walk again with Grade 5 IVDD is just over 50% if operated on within 24 hours of diagnosis. The estimated cost is between $12,000 to $15,000.

We felt we could not let this little guy pass without doing everything we could within reason. 'WE' as a family decided to go ahead with the surgery and recovery.

We are reaching out to those who understand the BOND between our pets and ourselves and the joy and pleasure they bring to our lives. We felt that if we were able to reach out to those who understand this BOND for a small (ie. .5, .10, $1, $2 or $10) donation towards the recovery of this special little Prince of a Pooch. We wish to fundraise the required fee for surgery and recovery for a total of $10,000.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. If the goal is reached, anything over and above this amount will be donated to a local animal shelter.
