Hello, my name is Laarni Springer and I am raising funds to help the Victims of Super Typhoon Rai in my hometown, Cebu, Philippines.
- Super Typhoon Rai was Category 5 in strength and one of the strongest recorded on Earth this year.
- As of this writing, Super Typhoon Rai -- known in the Philippines as Odette -- has now claimed at least 375 lives, while 515 people are injured and 56 are still missing. It is feared that this number will grow significantly once officials and rescue teams are able to confirm the number of victims in reported landslides and flooding.
- Thousands of homes are completely destroyed. Millions of people are displaced and needing urgent supplies including WATER, FOOD and MEDICINES.
- Rescue efforts face the difficult task of reaching areas cut-off due to debris-filled and flooded roads, power outages and non-working communication and internet connections. Fuel is scarce with mile-long lines at gas stations.
Your donations will be used for procurement and distribution of relief goods to the affected communities located in Cebu, Philippines.
