Donations for those evicted due to pandemic

The Harris County Constable Precinct One Foundation is proud to begin accepting donations to help those who have been evicted as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Constable Alan Rosen has been humbled by the outpouring of support and donation offers since the story which ran on CNN September 2, 2020. The story depicted a "day in the life" of  a Precinct One evictions deputy and was completed prior to the latest guidelines prescribed by the CDC.  Since then, the office has put evictions that meet those guidelines on hold. "We care. We are compassionate. We are abiding by the guidelines," said Constable Rosen. "It breaks our hearts to evict people. We hope the generosity demonstrated following this single story will begin a movement where we work together as a society that starts a discussion about poverty, prioritizes kindness and encourages philanthropy."

If you feel compelled to help, you can donate any amount and be assured that 100% of that donation (less mandatory fees/charges paid  to gofundme) will go toward assistance for those in Precinct One who have been subject to eviction. We will be partnering with agencies in the greater Houston area that have a history of successfully assisting those who meet the above criteria.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.
