Donations For the Saldaña Family

Ramon Saldaña is a man of many things, but above all, a hero to all. To say he was, would be an injustice, so instead we say he is. He is kind. He is caring. He is the embodiment of good and love. My father passed from an unexpected heart attack early Sunday morning on December 1st. Just a few hours prior he was smiling and excited about the possibility of a new truck, as his had recently stopped running. Unfortunately, that excitement was short-lived. He collapsed in our home and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. EMS and hospital staff worked tirelessly to try and save my father, and as hard as my father fought, his body could only fight for so long. Before we could comprehend the events that had unfolded before us, my father was gone. He passed in my mother's arms, as I held his hand and told him that it was okay and that he could finally rest.

His sudden passing has left my family with hospital bills, and other growing costs. More than anything, we are all so uncertain of the future with my father gone. What can be said for certain is that we wish to lay him to rest, and hope for people to grant us the same kindness my father has shown throughout his lifetime.

Anything, and I mean anything, will help my family and me through this difficult time.

Ramón Saldaña es un hombre de muchas cosas, pero sobre todo, un héroe para todos. Decir que lo fue, sería una injusticia, así que en lugar de eso, decimos que lo es. Es amable. Él es cariñoso. Él es la encarnación del bien y del amor. Mi padre falleció de un inesperado ataque al corazón la madrugada del domingo 1 de diciembre. Apenas unas horas antes estaba sonriente y emocionado por la posibilidad de un nuevo camión, ya que el suyo había dejado de funcionar recientemente. Desafortunadamente, esa emoción duró poco. Se desplomó en nuestra casa y fue trasladado de urgencia al hospital en ambulancia. El personal de EMS y del hospital trabajó incansablemente para tratar de salvar a mi padre, y por mucho que mi padre luchara, su cuerpo solo pudo luchar durante un tiempo. Antes de que pudiéramos comprender los acontecimientos que se habían desarrollado ante nosotros, mi padre se había ido. Pasó en los brazos de mi madre, mientras yo le tomaba la mano y le decía que estaba bien y que por fin podía descansar.

Su repentino fallecimiento ha dejado a mi familia con facturas de hospital y otros costos crecientes. Más que nada, todos estamos muy inciertos sobre el futuro con mi padre fuera. Lo que se puede decir con certeza es que deseamos darle sepultura y esperamos que la gente nos conceda la misma bondad que mi padre ha mostrado a lo largo de su vida.
