Two weeks ago I got a call from a good friend of mine that her husband Paul has been diagnosed with the most dreaded c word nobody wants to hear. He is terminally ill with small cell lung cancer and it has spread to his liver and lymph nodes.

My husband and I have been friends with Paul since childhood. Paul is one of the most caring, genuine, down to earth person you could ever meet. He is always there for his family and friends with a helping hand and is always out to make people laugh with his great sense of humour.

Paul hasn’t been working since becoming ill and his wife Rosalie just recently had to stop working to care for him. Their son Brady has left his job in Ontario as well to come to Newfoundland to be with his parents and help with care at this difficult time.

Paul has started chemotherapy treatments this week and has to travel 160km each times. With the rising cost of gas and groceries I decided to start this page to help lighten the financial burden on the family.
