I honestly can't believe I'm even writing this right now, I've never dealt with anything like this before so please forgive if I make any mistakes.
As most of you know, me and my mom were extremely close. We lived together, worked together, did a lot of things together. My mom was everything I strive to be: a strong, honest, hard working woman with a heart of pure gold. She never turned away anyone in need and made friends wherever she went.
There was a lot of things she loved. She loved spending time with friends and family. It could be a cookout or bringing the kids swimming or even if it was just an average night, it was always fun with her. She loved to listen to all kinds of music and dance, whether it was rap, country, rock; it didn't matter. She loved puzzles, astrology, and always enjoyed reading the Bible and going to church.
2 weeks ago she went to the hospital with minor symptoms hoping to get some medicine to heal and come home quickly. What followed was a traumatic plunge in her health that resulted in both her kidney and liver failing suddenly. It was a shock to all and even though the nurses and doctors were incredible and did everything it their power we sadly lost her on Thursday, September 10th at around 11PM. She was 43 years old.
The last few days have been the worst of my life. To say our family has been devastated is an understatement. This all has been so sudden and quick that we have not had much time to prepare financially, even though we of course want the very best for her.
If anyone would like to help us and donate, it would be very appreciated but of course, it's not necessary at all. Once I have dates for the wake and other details I will be updating.
