It is with great sadness and disbelief that we have to announce the passing of Wesley Shontz, only 18 years old. Early Friday morning (12/16), Wesley was driving and struck by another vehicle. Although there are more details, at this time I feel like we should share stories and talk about how wonderful of a person Wes was. He had a huge personality, always making people laugh, dancing and singing and a joy to be around. Anyone who got the chance to talk to him was lucky, as he always spread happiness and love no matter the situation. He was a beloved student at Buckeye Trail, and a member of the cross country and track team. He also participated in whatever activities he could to spend time with those he loved, and was a friend to everyone. Some members of trails senior class knew we would like to raise money for any expenses that will come from this. This go-fund-me will go to the parents and family during this extremely difficult time. Thank you.
