Hello friends. Thank you for your time, it means the world to us. My name is Tiffany and I am the oldest of Sonia Rodriguez’s daughters. My younger sister, Angie and I, lost our mother on Saturday, April 22nd, after she was tragically killed in a car accident while traveling home from visiting friends. A truck driver negligently lost control of his vehicle and my mother had no chance to avoid the collision. She was life flighted and succumbed to her massive injuries which were no fault of her own. The other driver will continue their life with a mere scratch on their back, as we must now mourn the loss of our precious, loving mother. It’s truly, tragically unfair as she was only 56 years old with a future ahead of her (which included volunteering with Horses for Hope). Her life was unjustly cut short. Unfortunately, she was not prepared to leave this world so soon. She left behind sealed, un-mailed letters to both my sister and I, asking to share with her who we believed her to be as a person. Now we can never share with her how amazing we believed her to be and how much we looked forward to growing older with her.
We are doing our best to cover the expenses ourselves which go well beyond the funeral. My mother had a home, animals, and arrangements that are now our responsibility. We are working class citizens, and are asking for any help you might be able to offer to relieve these unexpected expenses. You may not have had the chance to meet or know our mother, but she was one to give the shirt off her back and her last dollar to those in need. We are hoping there are others out there who share her helpfulness, as we would be sincerely grateful for the assistance. Our family is struggling emotionally, mentally, and now financially. We would never take any donations for granted, and will be giving back to those in need in the future.
