Shawn Martin is a longtime employee and friend to The Apple Market in Pensacola, FL. If you know Shawn, you know he is quick with his wit and is ALWAYS smiling. What you may not know about Shawn is that he has been battling a rare kidney disease for years and he is in need of a kidney transplant desperately. Shawn is currently on a kidney transplant list but in the meantime is having to go to dialysis 4 hours each day just to keep him alive. After he finishes his treatment, he does his best to work a few hours with what energy he has left. In the past few months, he has been admitted to the hospital twice. Each stint in the hospital was for several weeks. Although he has Medicare the medical bills are still unmanageable.
