Donations for Phanny

A little over a year ago, I adopted my cat, Phantom (aka Phanny), from the Mid Hudson Animal Aid (MHAA). Phanny is an incredibly sweet and friendly 12-year-old cat, and she was known as "the welcome cat" of her shelter for constantly engaging with new and old visitors. However, because of her various health issues ranging from digestive problems to allergies to severe stomatitis, she spent 7 years of her life at MHAA until she found a forever home with me at age 11.

Over the bulk of my time owning her, it's been easy to forget her many health issues. Her upbeat nature and daily medications have helped stabilize her health and made her seem like any other healthy cat. In the last few months, though, she has taken a turn for the worse. She's had trouble breathing due to very bad congestion and recently lost some of her appetite. After more vet visits than I can count to get a proper diagnosis and a CT scan, I learned this week that Phanny has cancer in her nasal cavity. Currently, the cancer is solely confined to her nasal cavity, and treatment would consist of multiple sessions of radiation therapy. Unfortunately, I have reached my limit in what I can afford in medical bills without assistance.

I am asking for help covering medical costs and future treatments that could help my baby. I wish I didn’t have to ask, but I really love her and want to keep getting her the care she deserves. Any donation, no matter the amount, would be much appreciated and mean a lot to me and Phanny.
