I want to introduce you to Oveida, a remarkable young woman born in 1994 with a congenital disease that affects her mobility. Oveida relies on the loving care of her devoted mom, who provides 24/7 support, helping her with everything from feeding to bathing. They currently live in Colombia, where the challenges they face are immense.

Oveida's mother is her primary caregiver and works tirelessly to support them both. Unfortunately, she struggles to fully understand Oveida’s condition, and with limited resources, she often works long hours at night making arepas and tamales. This demanding schedule leaves her with little time for sleep or rest, and her love for Oveida drives her to sacrifice her own well-being.

I am starting this fundraiser with the hope of raising $5,000 to help cover Oveida's medical expenses and to support her mother in starting a small business selling secondhand clothes. This venture would not only provide a more stable income but also give her mother precious time to care for Oveida without the constant pressure of financial strain.
