On October 2Ist, our beloved mother, Magda Recio, passed away suddenly. She had undergone open-heart surgery, which was successful, but due to underlying conditions, she passed away unexpectedly. She was a woman of God and always put others before herself. She was heavily involved in her ministry, as well as her local food bank. She helped feed the community through Find Food Bank, as well as selling her famous tamales that she was known for. She was also very well known in the community and was always there to help anyone in need. In a way, she was everyone's mom. She was a very kind and thoughtful woman who loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She has left a major hole in the hearts of everyone who knew her and is missed dearly. She leaves behind her husband Jose and their 5 children.

Our dad Jose is disabled as he is on dialysis due to kidney failure. He is on a fixed income and without our mom's combined income, he is unable to make ends meet. Our mom gave so much to her community and never asked for anything in return; that is simply the type of person she was. We are reaching out to family, friends, and the community in our time of need in hopes that we can raise enough money to help keep our dad afloat, at least for the next few months. In addition to needing funds to help cover our dad's monthly bills, he will also be utilizing some of the funds to pay for attorney fees to create a living trust for his home. We know this is a lot to ask for, but any amount helps, even if it is simply sharing this post. Thank you all and God bless.
