On Monday February 17, Michelle Eggert was admitted to the ICU with sepsis. For those who don’t know, sepsis is a life threatening emergency that happens when your body’s response to an infection damages vital organs. In other words, it’s your body’s overactive and toxic response to an infection. Michelle has experienced severe sepsis and septic shock (the most severe stage) causing the dysfunction of many of her vital organs to include her kidneys, liver, lungs, and brain, and dropping her blood pressure to dangerously low levels. Her body is currently under a lot of stress and is trying its best to recover. While Michelle is slowly progressing, she still has an incredibly long road ahead of her.
I would like to help the Eggert family by getting donations for Michelle’s medical expenses. The average cost per hospital stay for sepsis is double the average cost per stay across all other conditions. Every dollar raised will support the care and treatment Michelle urgently needs. With the correct medical intervention, and the love and support from family and friends, I believe Michelle can make it through this extremely difficult battle she is facing.
If you know Michelle, you know what a kind and caring person she is. She always puts others first and herself last. She is a beautiful and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandma, aunt, coworker, and friend. Right now, she needs our help. Please consider donating - no contribution is too small.
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and support during this difficult time.
