On the night of Sunday, July 25th, a sand storm impaired visibility and caused a twenty car pile-up on I-15 near Kanosh, Utah, resulting in eight (8) fatalities while several others remain in critical condition.

Lucy Smith,10, of Yuma, AZ is among the injured.

Lucy was traveling back from Idaho (on vacation) with friends when the accident took place. She was life flighted and is currently receiving care for her injuries in Salt Lake City, UT. At this time, it is unknown how long Lucy will remain in the hospital but her parents have traveled to Salt Lake City to be with their daughter while having to leave their other 6 children in Yuma.
