On May 1, 2021, KZ along with our other friends were in Matagorda, Texas on a fishing trip. The boat KZ and four others were in struck a piling in the water which resulted in four of the crew members being ejected out of the boat, one being KZ. KZ was later found, but not under the circumstance we wanted to as he had already left his earthly body. 

Keith Zaniel Smith, 25, of Waterwood, Texas tragically passed away after a boating accident on May 1, 2021. He was born on January 8, 1996 in Mesquite, Texas. KZ is survived by his parents, Joshua and Terry Brown and Juan Rosas; brother, Nathan Rosas and Holly Vaughn; brother, Jason Brown; sister, Zoey Brown; girlfriend, Haley Hardy;

KZ loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Anyone who knew him, knew he had an immense passion for the outdoors. Whether it be, hunting, fishing, four wheeling or working on his buggy and trucks, you would always find KZ outside. He never had an empty word and carried himself with integrity. He was patient, kind and slow to anger. KZ was thoughtful, hardworking and to know him was to love him. His family and friends will miss him more than words can say.

We are trying to raise any and all donations so that the family may grieve without the stress of finances on their shoulders. Losing a child is already hard enough.
