So an update on Jessica
She spent 23 days in the icu, at the beginning her memory wasn’t all there, she couldn’t recognize her husband or her two children. She had a massive stroke for 22 minutes after having a seizure. Following that she went brain dead for 24 hrs and then was put on a ventilator for 24 hrs. From the 13-17th she was put into a medical coma. After about seven days, she regained her memory and was able to recognize her family and was slowly brought out of the medical coma. She continued to have vasospasms throughout this time and still has them. Due to the vasospasms (that closed the main arteries to her brain) the doctors were not able to perform the life saving surgery she required. A new neurologist was brought in with the hopes of a new perspective, and she was sent home to rest in hopes the vasospasms would calm down enough for her to get the surgery. After two weeks she went back in and they performed an angiogram and decided to go forward and put in a pipeline. Jess then stayed another 2 days in the icu and is now home with her family making a miraculous recovery. Although we are extremely great full the doctors were able to do the surgery and ultimately save her life. We are now burdened with the many expenses that come along with such a traumatic event. Family and friends have been flying out to assist with the children so that zach could be at the hospital. He will finally be going back to work next week. We want to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts for all of the thoughts, prayers, and donations. If you can we would appreciate any donation (no donation is too small!) and if not please share this go fund me so that we can reach more people. And lastly we ask that you continue to pray for us as now we are focusing on her recovery and on paying all the bills that have come from this. Thank you all so much, we love you!
Jess and Zach
