Shannon was many things to many people. He was our friend, and he was an all-around good human. Shannon’s smile could light up a room and his laugh was infectious. Shannon was a man of character; so much so that just being around him made you want to be a better version of yourself. Shannon was a big man, but without a doubt the biggest part of him was his heart. Anyone that knew him was blessed to have experienced a piece of that, and we're all immensely saddened that his time was cut short. While we are certainly hurting, our heart goes out to his family, especially his daughter for the incredible loss they are experiencing. Shannon’s abrupt end to life was a senseless and cowardly act of violence that left a hole in many hearts, and tragically a daughter without a father. This senseless act of violence is a microcosm of a greater problem the City of Milwaukee faces. While we come to terms with how to deal with that, we urge you to hug your loved ones, and to teach that violence is never the answer.
