My sister and her dog (Django) were attacked by 3 dogs Saturday morning while out on a walk. Django had severe damage done to his front leg and 2 bones were broken in the attack. He spent the night at the emergency vet and the only way to save his leg was amputation. My sister has been by his side for 13 years and the past 5 days have been an absolute nightmare for her. As you can imagine my sister has been shaken to the core all the while dealing with her own injuries both physical and mental. This fetch loving little guy will have to adapt to his new world on 3 legs. Django underwent surgery this morning at Pvsec North and is doing okay. While we are hopeful he will make a recovery it will be a costly one.
