Hi, my name is Jo & I’m kindly asking for any generous donations towards my dog Cosmo’s current hospitalisation & major head & facial surgeries at Kentdale Veterinary Hospital

At the weekend he began with a small bulge above his eye, by Sunday his whole head was swollen, bruised & he couldn’t open his right eye Local vets took him for a night but returned him to me with even more swelling building down through his face, jaws & muzzle. A wound opened & started oozing into his eye & local vets still couldn’t help. My mum & I rang Kentdale Vets who said to bring him in immediately - cue overnight boat & Cosmo arriving for hospitalisation at 1am Monday morning. The vets at Kentdale were very concerned with Cosmo’s state & scheduled 2 major surgeries. 1 proved more difficult than first imagined due to the proximity of the damaged tissue & infection to the nerves of his eye, risking the entire right eye itself! They also had to do a skin graft (luckily from the saggy skin at his neck from the extreme swelling) onto his head where the wound burst open & had been left untreated. Facial reconstruction surgery followed

We were told to estimate a £6000 vet bill but the difficulty in the 1st surgery resulted in another vet being brought in and an extra CT scan being performed, also resulting in a longer hospital stay

I would sell my kidneys for Cosmo if I could but sadly I only have 1 & a half of those already! Any kind donations of any small amounts would go a long way to helping the care for him Thank you
