As many of you are aware, our fun-loving friend, Brandy Orlando, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in October. Brandy, with the ongoing support of Greg, has made the decision to fight this battle with every ounce of her being! She has already undergone chemotherapy and will continue to do so through February; she also has a future planned surgery in March. All of this is life-changing news. Unfortunately, this is not the only obstacle Brandy and Greg are currently facing. Their sweet baby boy, Fitzgerald (11 months), has recently undergone a battery of tests for a rare progressive genetic disorder. Neurologists have diagnosed Fitz with leukodystrophy and Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease (PMD). There is no standard treatment for PMD and no cure. This diagnosis alone is unfathomable, let alone coupled together. As Brandy, Greg, and Fitz cope with this new normal, I am reaching out for your help in easing any financial burden for this family that you can. Medical bills are expensive, inflation isn't great, Brandy and Greg purchased a new home back in July, and Brandy is going to be mandatory taking a leave of absence from work.
