Steven B. Guy— A Pillar of Eagle Pride
To most, he’s simply B Guy. But to those of us lucky enough to know him, Steven has been far more than a nickname—he’s been a cornerstone of our community, a chronicler of our triumphs, and a cheerleader for generations.
Steven began his journey with The Morris News in 1984, armed with a camera, a notepad, and an unshakable passion for sports. From state championships to district showdowns, regional runs to area tournaments, Steven was there, riding the bus with the teams, capturing the moments, and telling the stories that made us proud to be Eagles.
Even when The Morris News closed its doors in 2020, Steven didn’t stop. He kept showing up, camera in hand, snapping photos of every game, every athlete, every proud parent moment. He’d send them to you personally, often with a kind word about your kid’s hustle, heart, or heroics. In many ways, Steven embodied Eagle Pride just as deeply as Coach Bookout himself.
But in recent years, Steven has taken on a different role. one of quiet sacrifice. He became the sole caregiver for his brother Robert, navigating financial hardship with grace and grit. Sadly, his brother has passed, and Steven now faces not only the emotional toll but the financial burden that comes with loss.
Now, it’s our turn.
Let’s rally as Eagle Nation and give back to the man who has given us so much. Every donation will go directly toward funeral expenses and essential support for Steven during this difficult time.
Let’s show him that Eagle Pride isn’t just a slogan—it’s a family.
