Donations for Barangay 850 Fire Victims

Hi my name is Del and I am knocking on your doors & hearts to see if you would like to donate to my hometown (Dapo Street Pandacan Manila - Barangay 850) in the Philippines who lost their homes due to a recent fire.

On 11th of January 2024- I messaged my cousin Good morning to check up on them as I regularly do. To my surprise, she messaged back quickly saying that there was a fire and their house was burning, including our grandma's Ancestral home.

My Family here in Aus watched it all unfold on the news, people's Facebook live & posts.

Many families, including relatives of mine, in the Philippines have devastatingly lost their homes as they burnt to the ground. Thankfully no one was hurt during the fires and were all safe.

Around 160 homes lost and 300+ families are now without a home.

The Barangay (Villlage) are trying to raise donations for those affected by asking for drinking water, blankets, clothing, food, hygiene kits etc

These photographs are the remnants of my grandmother's ancestral residence, where we all spent our childhood and frequently visited whenever we travelled to the Philippines. Although my grandmother passed away several years ago, my cousins and other relatives have continued to reside there.

Despite our offers to provide housing for my cousins in other parts of Manila, they have chosen to remain near Pandacan, as it is the only place they are familiar with. They wish to clean up, restore their homes and return to secure land.

Additionally, by staying here, they are eligible to receive government assistance and relief supplies.

The individuals captured in this image is one of my relatives who was currently living in my grandmother's house, temporarily camping out on the nearby highway, under a tent (Gazebo) supplied by the government.

I am reaching out to all my family and friends to see if you could spare a little towards this cause. I know times are hard for everyone so anything would be greatly appreciated.

I will ensure that the money raised will be donated via Funds, Food & supplies to the People and my families of Barangay 850.
