Donation to Cal Raijin Taiko in Memory of Jeremy

Donation protected
In May of 2021, Cal Raijin Taiko lost a beloved alumni member to colorectal cancer. Jeremy Chen was a member of Cal Raijin Taiko from 2013 to 2017 (Gen 9). Jeremy was an MCB major at Cal and was pursuing his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. Jeremy loved taiko and could bring a smile to everyone's faces.

In memory of Jeremy, an alumnus has donated an Ohira Daiko and Stand from the Taiko Center Online Shop to Cal Raijin Taiko. Jeremy loved the odaiko, and this central piece will help ensure the memory of Jeremy lives on with Cal Raijin Taiko. In addition, we'll be installing a custom plaque to memorialize Jeremy. We are coordinating with Taiko with Toni to create a custom bag for the new drum and stand to store and carry the equipment safely.

We are looking for donations to cover the cost for the bags to keep Jeremy's drum safe (estimated to be ~$1500). Any additional funds will contribute to the Cal Raijin Taiko "rainy day fund". Your support is greatly appreciated - thank you!
