We are asking for support for Gary, our son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend, who is facing an incredibly serious medical journey at just 44 years old.
Gary recently suffered a heart attack that led to a stroke, caused by previously undiagnosed diabetes and high blood pressure that had been weakening his heart. His heart is currently functioning at only 15%, and now urgently needs quadruple bypass surgery. Before doctors can safely perform the surgery, Gary must first be placed on an Impella heart pump, which will help strengthen his heart enough to withstand the procedure.
Sadly, the stroke also caused vision loss, and Gary will require extensive recovery time, including physical therapy for his eyesight, in addition to healing from heart surgery.
Gary is an electrician apprentice in Arkansas, passionate about his work and proud of the life he is building. He also loves the outdoors and brings laughter wherever he goes with his silly, goofy, fun-loving personality. Unfortunately, the surgeries and long recovery will keep him from working for quite some time, creating an overwhelming financial burden from medical bills and loss of income.
We are fundraising to help cover medical expenses, recovery costs, and daily living needs while Gary focuses on healing. Any amount you are able to give is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, we would just be grateful for prayers, encouragement, and positive thoughts for Gary during this critical time.
As a family, we are holding onto hope and faith that Gary will get through this challenge and come out stronger—back to the joyful, hardworking man we all know and love.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and prayers.
