Donation in Memory of Wolfie

Donation protected
Wolfie was laid to rest on July 3rd, 2022. I would like to honor him and donate to local animal shelters and the shelter he was rescued from 11 years ago in memory of him.

Wolfies story:
Wolfie was found wondering the forests of Hocking Hills, Oh. Where he was rescued from a shelter but unfortunately was a high kill shelter. The Humane Society of Delaware County rescued him from that shelter to quickly realize he was very sick. He had kennel cough that turned into pneumonia and they had been treating him for several months. He was not showing any signs of getting better and they were already discussing euthanization. I found Wolfie on an adoption site and immediately jumped in my car to go to the shelter. They informed me of how sick he was and that they were unsure if he’d make it. They also stated many people came to adopt him but he either did not like them or they had other pets who could get sick if they came in contact with him. I told them I had no other pets and I was not worried about his sickness and I understood that he may not get better. They sat me outside in a fenced field and let Wolfie loose to see if he’d like me. He came running full sprint and stopped right in front of me and howled. That moment on we were inseparable. It took several months for him to start getting better from his respiratory infection but he did eventually heal. I like to think all he needed was a little bit of love to get better. We spent the next 11 years traveling together and he went every where with me. Even into his senior years. Wolfie touched many hearts along the way and was the kindest gentle soul you’d ever meet. He lived a long and happy life to the age of 14.

I would like to remember him by helping other animals that are in need, just as he was when I found him. I have several shelters that I would like to donate to, including the one that I rescued him from. I have already made a few donations and am planning on volunteering when my heart is ready but I wanted to open this go fund me to maybe help me touch more animals.

Every cent will be donated and split out evenly to each shelter.
