Donation in memory of Simon Dibb
Donation protected
My name is Sanchia and I’m the granddaughter of Simon Dibb who sadly passed away in March this year unexpectedly from stage 4 Lymphoma.
Myself and my best friend Ellie Mitchel are looking to raise money for a memorial bench for him and our family and to also raise money for Marie Curie who cared for him at home.
To raise money we are going to be skydiving from 10,000 ft, and are hoping to do this at start of September.
As a family we currently don’t have anywhere to go and pay our respects and having this bench would mean the world to us, it would be somewhere we can go any day of the year to sit and be with him and somewhere to go and reminisce about all the happy times we had together.
We will be placing the bench at Bingley Congs Cricket Club, where he loved to watch his sons play cricket and enjoyed many social gatherings there with his family and friends.
We will be paying for our own skydives so that all the money raised can go towards a bench for him, the bench is going to be £300.
We would however love to raise even more than this as we’d love to donate anything extra to Marie Curie who played and instrumental role in caring for him at home in his final weeks and myself and family could not be anymore more grateful to the people who cared for him and made him comfortable in his final moments.
