In loving memory of Tope Afe

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Tope Afe, A young man who recently came to the UK to improve his life and raise a family but sadly, he passed away suddenly in his sleep on the 18/11/2024, less than 2 years of residing in the UK. He was a hardworking, kind-hearted and generous young man.

Tope had no immediate or extended family in the UK. As the breadwinner of the family without a father in his life from childhood and a mother with underlying health issues after retirement. Despite being a divorcee with no children of his own, his love for family was unshakeable. His focus was always on the ones he left behind, hoping to set them with a life far better than the one he had known. He made sacrifices every day, working tirelessly to send money home to support them and he never complained. When alive, his generosity and kindness was an inspiration to everyone around him.

Tope Afe, was a gifted instrumentalist committed to his faith and a devoted member of the church. He poured his heart into his music, serving faithfully as a church instrumentalist. His music brought joy, peace, and a sense of unity to everyone who had the privilege of hearing him play.

As his family resides in Nigeria, they would like him buried close to his beloved.
