Donation In Honour of Andy Wang

With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Andy Wang on February 2, 2023 at the young age of 27. For 4 years, he battled leukemia with unwavering courage and resilience before succumbing to complications. Andy was a beloved son, friend and shining light in the lives of all who knew him.

He was a gentle soul who was always there for his friends and never failed to bring a smile to those around him with his great sense of humour. His bright and curious mind was an inspiration with his appreciation for world history, Japanese trains and fun facts of the day. Most of all, Andy adored building computers and frequently spent time online helping strangers with their computer-building questions.

Andy’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew him. His dream was to become a biomedical engineer in the field of cancer research to help others who are also battling cancer. In honour of Andy’s legacy, we are inspired to raise a donation in his name towards cancer research to continue his mission of helping others. If we reach $25k in donation, we can have Andy's name on the donor wall of the new Calgary Cancer Center. We invite those who feel led to consider giving in loving memory of Andy.

The funeral service for Andy Wang will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, beginning at 10 am at Chapel of the Bells - McInnis & Holloway at 2720 Centre Street N. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery. Please join us to remember Andy, who will be dearly missed.
