Donation for Khayelitsha

Hi Everyone!!

We are (from left to right) Famke, Guusje and Laura and are currently studying Cambridge English in Cape town. Living and studying in Cape Town truly feels like home, as the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes create an environment that nurtures our growth and love for exploration. We have already made so many amazing memories, which has led to a great appreciation of the city.

However, we have noticed that this city is blighted with awful poverty. This could be ameliorated and we want to be part of this and help the impecunious humans, who are living in shacks. In collaboration with our school, we came up with the idea of putting our thoughts into action. Fellow students have already participated in something similar so were able to share some tips with us, namely the items most needed by the people. They also told us that they had noticed the children were playing football with stones.

Our plan is the following; to make soup for the inhabitants of the Township Khayelitsha on 21 November 2024 and to give useful items to them. The items we want to provide in large numbers for them are as follows

* homemade soup

* women's hygiene products

* footballs

* canned food.

* rice

We will go there with our school and The Quinton Welman Community Foundation, because they have been there before.

We and the people living in the above mentioned Township, would highly appreciate it if you felt to support our plan. Every little bit helps and will undoubtedly lead to a better environment.
