In Memory of Gamal Mahmoud

With great sadness, I am organizing this fundraiser to help with the funeral expenses and medical expenses for Gamal Mahmoud, who passed away on April 5, 2022. Gamal moved to the US in 2001 and joined the Boston Fencing Club in the same year. He impacted generations of fencers at the Boston Fencing Club, Prise de Fer and Bay State fencing clubs. In addition, he was also a coach at Philips Academy and Harvard University.

Anyone lucky enough to be coached by Gamal knew what a special person he was, and he had a way of bringing joy and happiness whenever he coached. Those who knew the man will remember a kind and loving man who cared for fencing and everyone who participated in the sport.

We will all miss Gamal, and we are sure many members of the fencing community will. Any help you can give at this time will be greatly appreciated.
