Dear Supporters,
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who generously contributed to the GoFundMe campaign originally set up to help cover funeral costs. Your kindness, prayers, and support during such a difficult time meant more than words can express.
I want to inform you all that our local Imaam, Shaikh Tanveer, has kindly and graciously offered to cover the full costs of the funeral. Due to his generosity, we no longer require the funds for that original purpose.
As clearly stated on the page from the outset, any funds raised beyond the funeral expenses would be dedicated to a cause close to our hearts: the construction of a mosque. Now that the funeral costs have been taken care of, I have updated the campaign to reflect this change and to fully focus on the noble goal of building a mosque.
However, I understand that some supporters may wish for their donation to be refunded, given the change in purpose. If you are one of those individuals, I completely respect your decision and will personally refund your contribution.
To request a refund:
Please send me a direct message through the GoFundMe platform (click “Contact” or “Message” next to my name on the campaign page). I will respond to you directly so you can then send me a screenshot of your original donation/transaction that shows the amount donated. Along with your details
Once I receive this, I will arrange the refund accordingly.
I assure you that all refund requests will be handled with transparency, respect, and care.
Once again, thank you for your generosity, compassion, and understanding. May your kindness be rewarded many times over.
Warm regards,
Dhaim Iqbal

A Mosque Built in Their Names – A Gift of Eternal Reward
Dear Friends, Family, and Members of the Community,
As-salāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh,
It is with both a heavy heart and deep hope that we share this message with you. Recently, our community experienced a devastating loss: two young souls, Sameer and Kristof, tragically passed away in a car accident. Their passing has left behind unimaginable grief, but also a powerful opportunity for us all to come together in their honour.
In memory of these two beloved boys, we are humbly working towards building a mosque in their names — a Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) that will benefit them in this world and the Hereafter. This mosque will not only serve as a place of worship for generations to come, but it will also stand as a shining legacy of Sameer and Kristof’s lives.
Why a Mosque? Why Now?
In Islam, there are few deeds more powerful than providing a space for worship. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
A mosque built in their name means that every prayer made inside, every Quranic verse recited, and every moment of worship will count as a reward continuously reaching them in their graves. Even though they are no longer with us, the blessings from this mosque will keep flowing to them endlessly—bi idhnillah (by the permission of Allah).
The Benefits They Will Receive:
• Continuous reward (Sadaqah Jariyah) – Even after death, they will earn rewards for every act of worship performed in the mosque.
• Light in the grave – Acts like these are among the few that bring nur (light) and peace to the grave.
• Elevation in the Hereafter – Your contribution could mean a house in Jannah (Paradise) for them, as well as for you.
• Dua from worshippers – Those who benefit from the mosque will often make dua for the ones it was built for.
This is not only a way to honour Sameer and Kristof—it’s a way to give them a gift that no money can buy, and no time can erase. It is also a reminder of the mercy and generosity of Allah, who allows us to help our loved ones even after they have passed.
How You Can Help:
We invite you to contribute whatever you can—big or small—towards the construction of this mosque. Whether it’s a donation, spreading the word, or making dua, your involvement is deeply valued.
May Allah accept this effort from all of us, elevate the ranks of Sameer and Kristof, and allow this mosque to be a beacon of mercy for them and a means of reward for all those who contribute.
Jazakum Allahu Khairan for your generosity, your love, and your prayers.
With gratitude,
The Family & Friends of Sameer and Kristof
