My heart is completely broken. When my lease ended moving into an apartment were pits were not allowe, my dog was placed in a temporary home from November 6th to December 3rd, trusting she would be safe and reassured loved, But when I picked her up, she was unrecognizable—covered in mud, soaking wet and freezing, severely underweight, and pouring blood from her face, eye, chin, leg, and neck. Every area from the neck up was swollen. The person watching her kept telling us she was “doing good,” but never mentioned the horrific wounds or the pain she was in. she was found alone in a shed, terrified, and in full fight-or-flight mode, just trying to survive. She is the sweetest, most gentle dog and has never been aggressive, so hearing she “got into fights” felt like an excuse, not the truth. I’ve done everything legally possible to get justice for her, but nothing was done. I’m asking for EVERY prayer and any help to cover her medical care and help her heal from the trauma she never deserved.
