Hello my name is Mica (Micah) and I need help with my birthday this year! I’m turning 20 on May 21, 2018 and am donating my birthday to the ALS Association (you know the organization that did the whole ice bucket challenge thing) and the Helen Woodward Animal Center in San Diego, CA. I’m doing this because even though it’s my birthday it’s for my mom more than for myself. The reason for that is because my mom passed away from ALS on July 5, 2012 and in her obituary we asked people to donate to the animal center in her memory, my family also adopted one of our dogs from the center. And if you noticed the picture of my mom and seen a picture of me, I'm adopted but that doesn't mean she wasn't my mom. I'm hoping to raise at least $10,000.00 that way I can divide the money evenly for each organization but if I can raise more that would be even better. I plan on donating all the money to both organizations on May 22, 2018. I'm doing this all on my own and since this is the first time I've ever donated my birthday I hope it will be a success. So, if you did the ice bucket challenge or know someone with ALS or have a rescue animal, please donate. If you choose not to donate, all I ask of you is to share this information on your social media and tell your friends and family about this. The more people who know the better.
