Donating in memory of Natasha Szorady

Hello, my name is Janelle and I’m organizing this fundraiser to support a mother who has sadly lost both of her children within the past two and a half years and fallen into great financial hardship. I am trying to raise funds to help her pay for her daughter Natasha’s funeral at their Family Church. Also to help her raise first and last months rent for an apartment, as she and her granddaughter are currently living in an RV which has no running water.

On February 22, 2021 Cammie’s worst nightmare came true when her youngest daughter Cassandra passed away at the beginning of the pandemic. Cassandra was a young vivacious woman and one of my dearest childhood friends. She had two young lovely daughters and was such a kind and genuine person.

After Cassandra’s untimely passing Cammie took charge of one of her granddaughters, however she soon fell into financial hardship, and has struggled to stay afloat since. She ultimately had to spend all of her savings so that they could survive. Cammie rented an apartment which ended up full of black mold so, She and her Granddaughter have now been living in an RV without running water for over a year. This has been very difficult as running water is a necessity for day to day life.

On top of the many challenges Cammie has endured, she also had to have revision hip replacement surgery. Recovery has been difficult to say the least.

The grief of losing a child took a massive toll on Cammie affecting both her physical and mental health. She had been in therapy working on healing. She also had the support of her other daughter Natasha.

On August 20, 2023 Natasha passed away very suddenly; words can not describe the excruciating pain that Cammie and the children are in. She has now lost both of her children within two and a half years of each other. She only had the 2 daughters.

As a parent I can’t imagine anything worse.

This is a burden that no one should ever bear. Cammie is currently unable to afford a funeral for her daughter Natasha at the Family Church.

I have created this fundraiser so that Cammie can have peace of mind and a proper service for Natasha. I am also hopeful that we can raise enough to help contribute towards first and last months rental deposit so that they can once again have a home and access to running water, which shouldn’t be considered a luxury.
