My name is Jason Dillion Sherrill. I am setting up a go fund me page to help with funeral and burial costs for my brother Jamie Grant Barrett.

Why I'm fundraising

My only brother Jamie Barrett tragically took his own life on Sunday December 17th, 2023. He was only 41 years old. He was a loving father to two beautiful children Jessica and Joseph Barrett, a husband to his wife Brandy Barrett, and a son to my mother Paula Sherrill. My brother was a good man, a gentle giant. He was my hero growing up, a former body builder. He had a contagious sense of humor and could light up a room... Unfortunately the trials and pains of this life started weighing on him over the past couple of years until it became more than he thought he could bare. I tried to help him and he came to stay with me over the past several weeks but went back to his home in Alabama on Monday December 11th. When I walked out the door that day on my way to work I never thought it would be the last time I would see my brother alive. Mental and Emotional Health issues are very real. If you know anyone who is struggling with Mental and Emotional Health problems please do not hesitate to pray for them and try to help them as much as you can. They need your help and support. My girlfriend lost her brother in the same way last year, and also one of her good friends only about a month ago. People are hurting and need our help. Unfortunately with his loss of life there were no funds left behind to cover his services. The total cost for his services are $7,281. The funeral home is requesting that atleast $4,420 of that be paid by Friday December 22nd, 2023 the day of his funeral. The impact of your support

The cost of the funeral is $6,361 and the burial plot is $920. Any and all funds will go to pay for these expenses. If anything is left over they will go to his wife Brandy Barrett. Thank you.
