David Slayton was a loving, caring, and compassionate father, husband, and grandfather. For the past eight years, David bravely battled bladder cancer and MDS, always putting his family first and showing incredible strength. He peacefully passed away on June 10th at 10:15pm with his loving wife by his side, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and devotion to those he loved most.

David was married to his loving wife Ellen for 41 years, and she has been his caretaker throughout his long illness. Their bond was a source of inspiration to everyone who knew them. He cherished coaching his son Josh in baseball and supporting his daughter Kristin in softball, always encouraging them to do their best. David also found joy in fishing and treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, Riley and Kallie. His presence brought warmth and comfort to his family and friends, and his absence will be deeply felt.
