With devastated hearts, we are raising funds to support the family of Donatien Ngatoua (Demodji) after his tragic and unexpected passing.

Donatien was a beloved son, brother, student, athlete, friend, and member of the ACE and Worcester communities. He recently completed his senior year of high school and looked forward to graduating in June 2026. He carried big dreams for his future, including attending college to study mechanical engineering and continuing to pursue his passion for track and field.

Those who knew Donatien remember his kindness, humor, energy, and ambition. He had a way of bringing joy into spaces and making others feel comfortable around him. He cared deeply for his family and community.

Earlier this spring, Donatien reflected on his journey coming to the United States and shared encouragement for younger students navigating similar experiences. He reminded them that even when arriving in a new country feels overwhelming, “there will always be a spot for you and a spot to land your plane.”

His passing has left the ACE community, the Central African Republic community in Worcester, classmates, teachers, friends, church members, and loved ones heartbroken. Many of us were excited to watch him walk across the graduation stage and continue building the bright future ahead of him.

Funds raised will go directly toward supporting Donatien’s family during this incredibly difficult time, including funeral and memorial expenses, immediate family needs, and other unexpected costs that may arise.

This fundraiser is being organized through African Community Education’s (ACE) nonprofit page in partnership with Donatien’s family. By using ACE’s charitable fundraising account, processing fees remain lower than a personal fundraising page, allowing more of the funds raised to go directly to Donatien’s family. All funds will go to Donatien's family.
