Make people with dementia smile again!
The staff at Martin Luther Homes are fundraising to purchase a brand-new digital device that will enrich the lives of people who are suffering from the impact of dementia.
As you can see in the picture from pre-Covid days, we already had the chance once to try out the Tovertafel . The 'magic table' is a cutting-edge projector that turns any large table into an interactive field of play. It is equipped with eight games and it has infrared sensors that pick up any hand movement a person makes. Simultaneously, the Tovertafel interacts and responds to these movements, leading to an immediate engagement that triggers reactions from people with dementia who usually self-isolate and refuse to take part in any conventional activities.
This is an initiative from our staff and Every Dollar matters! Our residents are looking forward to a lot of fun and precious moments, thanks to your generosity.
