TRAILERS NEEDED for HURRICANE HELENE VICTIMS
Please read and share this request with as many people as you can!
Numerous families are still displaced in the Eastern, TN, and Asheville, NC, area and are currently living in tents. Remember that these people are in the mountains and winter is coming. It’s going to be cold! We cannot forget about them. 90% of these people lost everything and are not receiving much needed help from insurance or federal programs. During their recent trip to bring donations to the hurricane victims, Mike Sanchez (owner of A/M Automotive in Youngstown, NY) and his brother Mark personally saw the devastation and listened to the stories of those that lost everything including loved ones. When you hear that a single mom with 8 children (one terminally ill) are living in leaking tents, it makes you want to do more. It is truly heartbreaking. Despite her own devastation, she cooks lunch for the volunteers helping her community. Mike met her and enjoyed one of her burgers. The mom is very humble and wants to serve others before herself. This mom is truly amazing.
A/M Automotive and the Sanchez family are on a mission to help find homes for those that are displaced by asking for donations to purchase RVs/campers or if you know of an RV/camper in good shape that can be donated, please contact Mike Cheryl (Mikes wife) asap.
Mike will personally take care of the logistics. We are working with Jason Seidel from ProjectYourHome.com to match RVs/campers with those in need. And the list is growing daily. To learn more about ProjectYourHome visit: https://projectyourhome.com/

TRAILER DONATED, our inspiration: Through the generosity of a family in Lewiston, Mike just returned from taking a donated 5th wheel trailer to a family in need. This mom and her two children were so grateful for the trailer. There was a lot of hugging and crying. The kids immediately started playing with their new toys. This mom told Mike several stories about the devastation. She told Mike they watched their neighbors’ home be swept away during the storm. This story has filled our hearts as hundreds if not thousands of displaced families are still in need of homes.

Attached are pictures Mike and Mark took, during their visit, of the devastation they witnessed. These were taken on the outskirts of the truly devastated areas.
We know how busy everyone is and with the holidays coming we know that money can be tight. We have already taken a trailer full of goods to distribute. We are very thankful to all those who donated to make the first trip of donations a success.
