Support Corynne’s Top Surgery Journey

Hello! I’m Corynne, I’m 20 years old, and I am female-to-male (ftm) transgender. I started my medical transition in October 2022 when I began giving myself testosterone injections to change my appearance and voice to align more with my male identity. I am so much happier now that I’ve been on hormones, but the one thing that still causes me a lot of discomfort is my chest. I have been uncomfortable with my chest since it formed during puberty, before I even fully understood what gender identity was. I have known that I have wanted to receive chest-masculinizing (top) surgery since I first came out as transgender when I was 16 years old. In July of 2024, I finally consulted with a plastic surgeon who I will be seeing to receive a double mastectomy surgery to make my body align more with my identity, however, part of the surgery will not be covered by insurance and I will have to pay for it out of pocket. I live on my own and I am completely financially independent, so I am asking for a little bit of help to be able to pay for this surgery that will be life-changing for me.
