Make a Students Dream to Study Abroad a Reality Today!

Recently, I applied for an opportunity to study abroad. Little did I know that I would actually be accepted and granted a partial scholarship to Japan! But, in order to go, the payment deadlines must be met rather quickly, and there is very little planning time in between. I am one of the first students at William Floyd to get such an experience, and I am greatly honored to be given a chance of a lifetime. This is the first time C.I.E.E (Council on International Educational Exchange) has collaborated with my school, and I feel that this is a great accomplishment for both Floyd and me!
I have always loved to learn about different cultures, languages, foods and historic backgrounds, but never got to experience life outside of the United States. I dedicate my time to J.R.O.T.C (Junior Reserves Officer Training Corp) and the Fire Department as a Junior Volunteer. I have planned on joining the military for the past few years, and I want to see what it is truly like to wake up in a situation so foreign to what I am currently used to. To be granted an opportunity such as this is absolutely mind-blowing, but I might need some assistance in the process.
Studying and living abroad as a foreign exchange student is something very few people get to experience in life, and it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that could possibly change my outlook on the future for the better… although I can’t say that I’m not nervous myself!
It would be greatly appreciated if you aided me in my journey across the seas, allowing me to learn yet a third language within the constraints of Japan's society!
Any donation is appreciated greatly, no matter how big or small it may be. It all adds up in the end!
